Who We Are

Purim African Youth Development Platform (PAYDP), was registered in 2007 as an organisation limited by guarantee (NGO) to among other things, advance the rights of young girls and women; through capacity building and expanded social and economic opportunities, with emphasis on vulnerable populations. PAYDP’s programme activities span Ghana’s sixteen (16) administrative Regions, reaching over 200,000 women and girls across the country, with focus on the Central, Ashanti, Greater Accra, Volta, Bono-East, North East, Upper East, and Northern Regions. PAYDP has worked with various partners; the UNFPA, African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF), FORWARD UK, MTN, Plan International, Housing Finance Company Ltd (HFC), Ecobank, Access Bank, and government institutions.

Sexual and Reproductive Health

Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) involves education, access to information, and healthcare services for informed decisions about sexuality and reproduction. It encompasses contraception, family planning, STIs, safe sex practices, pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care, crucial for promoting gender equality and community well-being.

Livelihood Empowerment

Livelihood empowerment aims to enhance individuals’ economic independence and sustainability. It involves providing skills training, employment opportunities, and access to resources, enabling people to secure stable incomes and improve their quality of life.

Youth Leadership and Innovation are essential for driving positive change and progress in society. They empower young people to take initiative, lead by example, and implement innovative solutions to address pressing global challenges, fostering a brighter and more inclusive future.
